Rambling, tag is relevant because of what I'm talking about this is not an actual fanfiction <3 Carry on if you don't want to see the ramblings of a madman.

Saw a post something along the lines of "the Victor Gideon fanfic is slowing down" the post talks about how Victor Gideon might've been a phase for some writers, but I'm also an extremely paranoid person...

I may have been aggressively bitching about tagging systems, but it's mostly just because I've noticed that that's a problem within all parts of modern fandom not just fanfiction, and not just Resident Evil.

Tagging is very important, it's important because some people don't want to see certain things, and they want to run in their own circles, without bumping into circles that make them uncomfortable, I'll use shipping tags as an example.

If you don't like "Jane Doe x John Doe" you block the tag! The feature isn't on every website or social media platform but either way, if it's properly tagged, you can avoid that content.

That's why I whined about it, regarding tagging properly, if you have a certain point of view in mind, because Victor pulls their hair, or touches their skin, and comments about it, you got to add that into the tags or warnings, so that people can be aware about it, there was this amazing fanfic, that mentioned how you only get referred to as a 'girl' in one sentence, and that was enough for me to look past it, and read on, because the writer warned us, they also warned us that the pov was that of a AFAB, and I was okay with that because I'm trans! But if I wasn't, yeah it's nice to know that beforehand.

The point of my ramblings, is, if my posting ever harms somebody's creative process I need them tell me, because if even two writers, tell me that, that post hurt them, I will take it down without a seconds hesitation,

because I value your creativity far above my own opinion about tagging systems.

There's always a different place I can post about that opinion, even if I think the criticism itself, isn't that harsh? the way I word it could be and that, that's what I care about.

Something I remind myself all the time is to never judge someone based solely on their kindness, nor solely their actions, because even Josef Mengele himself was popular and kind with the kids, Ted Bundy volunteered at a suicide hotline, and Epstein was a man with a ton of friends, a healthy lifestyle, and a polished appearance.

You don't know if your friendly neighborhood Old Jim has a double life in sex trafficking until it happens. That's why I don't trust priests or pastors either. I'm not saying your grandma is a serial killer at all, I'm sure she isn't, but it seems like the sickest people always have the cleanest surfaces. Like a seemingly fresh apple, until you cut into it and it's all mushy and full of maggots inside.

One thing to know is that it isn't your fault. Like I said, you don't know they're evil until you find out. There's no way you could have known if you didn't notice the signs first, and oftentimes, the signs are so miniscule that you don't realize them until they've already caught you in their web.

Realizing that a lot of people just don't know how paranoia works when you're medicated. Because like media always has it as an "Everyone is against me" thing which yeah, it can be, but for me? As a medicated person? It's just this pervasive knowledge that something fucking awful could happen at any given moment.

It's knowing that if I don't act a certain way at all times, I'll get treated like shit. It's knowing that this shit is just Correct sometimes and that doesn't make it better. Like the fact that people will not bear the slightest inconvenience to protect themselves and others from fucking covid. And it sucks!!!

But sometimes I can just. Ignore it. It's just a vague mist of discomfort in the back of my thoughts. Just a lingering unease. And sometimes when I'm tired or stressed it's really impactful. Like just. Knowing. just fucking Knowing that a single solitary event and your world is Gone. And it's different from depression!! It is! My mood is Fine but god just. The Miasma Lingers.

Took a long ass time to stop thinking this way about like, people. And I still struggle with it but god I try. Just the background radiation of my life lmao.
