Aside. The "New Gods" series portraits a new reality: the search for a digital identity that works as replacement for our real lives. We are watching this more & more. This is the future. No flying cars, but a wonderful grid of virtual reality.
Started this one with a very simple sketch on paper, but put a lot of digital work to make this #tokyoghoul fanart something else. I wanted that approach to the manga aesthetics so the use of patterns & grayscale was mandatory for this project, and that drove me to discover new very interesting techniques. I can say I like the outcome, but more than anything else I love the fact that this experiment opened the door for techniques that I will apply for sure on future client work; that’s priceless.
Can you believe it? Being a digital artist / illustrator it has been always my passion and it's probably amazing that I still survive. It's hard to express how hard I worked (and my back too) through the years to stay creative and to be a reference out there...and today clearly is a big time reward!
My illustration "Astro" is now the start screen for the Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.
Thanks all of you for your support. Thanks Adobe for the opportunity. And thanks Behance as well for being an amazing platform that has allowed me to grow and be recognized.
I have to admit that this momentum is breathtaking.
Peace!
Tribute to one of my favorite films in the last decade, "Drive". This is the main character played by Ryan Gosling: the Driver. Is one of those films where the photography and the soundtrack really captivated my senses.
