PARANOIHELL

Pixel RPG-Maker looking game that puts you in the role of Erica, a bartender trying to get home to her girlfriend.  Unfortunately, her evening goes bad when a stranger suggests that he's been stalking her and worse when the world starts to literally fall apart.  Survival horror with zombie cops, weird monsters, weird non-monster (?) flayed human dudes, deteriorating weapons, hiding in dumpsters, and giant holes in the earth.  Played for a while, might go back, haven't really picked up on the "story" aside from what I mentioned.

Oh this is pretty sick.

I mean, it’s a horror game and it got a jolt out of me and has some horrible visuals so that’s pretty good in my book.

A personal plus for me is that it has an easy difficulty and that alleviates that specific brand of tension (easy death easy progress loss) which usually keeps me away from horror games. I could see myself playing this to completion and I might- I mean it stole more of my time than I expected so that was a winner in my book.

and linking for this I found out it’s only about 3 hours max length? I very well might beat this like tomorrow or something. I finished the first boltcutter section, helped a boy, and need another cutter for most doors in the park. I think I’m a chunk into it at the very least, I’m down for this later :) I know this is rather specific but I LOVE short horror. I love a horror game that’s punchy- or short games in general- and since most horror games make combat awkward to dis-incentivise it, shorter = less of that, not that combat is particularly bad here (It’s actually pretty good for what it does here).

I’m enjoying this, I think I’ll finish it :) Definitely helps that it has a specific aesthetic I appreciate- that pixel horror look like what Lone Survivor gave me is pretty ace.

LUM made a new game called Paranoihell where you get to play as a wlw that beats the shit out of cops. 10/10!
