Paranormaltale Skelebros

Okay! After hours of brainstorming, frustration, and rewriting, I’m finally done with my Paranormaltale skelebros! Some things have changed since I started the artwork for this project, so UT and SF Sans’ portraits aren’t accurate references for this AU.

These boys all live in or around the same spooky, historical town near the woods btw. I’m working on some reader insert one-shots for them. They are also officially on the list of characters you can request!

Paranormaltale Sans – Known as Celo (pronounced like cello, the instrument.) They say he always sees you, but you can never see him. Sometimes mistaken for the hide-behind. He is the feeling of being watched, the shifting eyes of an old painting, the sense you’re being judged. Some say if you stare at the stars too long they’ll morph into his glowing eyes. He is the leader of the town cryptids.

Paranormaltale Papyrus –Known as Puck. He’s a trickster and an illusionist. It’s easy to find yourself in one of his mazes, but difficult to find your way out of one. Puck loves riddles, puzzles, and mimicking voices to confuse people. He’s not malicious, he just wants playmates. He’s also incredibly clever and can warp reality to an extent just through people’s belief. For example, if he convinces you a doorway is in front of you then, bam! There it is.

Paranormalfell Sans –Known as Mercury. Sometimes he’s mistaken for a gremlin since his presence tends to cause machines to malfunction. However, he can also summon storms, headaches, and that sudden intense urge to punch someone in the face for no reason. He’s a spirit of misfortune. If the metal-filled cracks on his body are anything to go by, he’s experienced a fair share of misfortune himself. Oddly enough, he’s rumored to bring good luck on occasion, but only to those deserving.

Paranormalfell Papyrus –Known as Stein. He’s the gargoyle that guards the library. People swear he changes position. People also swear he’s the cause of all the mysterious history books that aren’t in the library’s system and have no indication to who the author is. Not much is known about him other than those speculations. He has short horns and a tail, as well as wings made of magic membrane. The sun temporarily turns him to stone. He can learn the history of a place/person/object through touch.

Paranormalswap Sans –Known as Wisp. Wisp is… Well, he’s a mothman. Mothskeleton. He has reflective eyelights, smooth glowing membrane wings, and soft antenna. He has been mistaken many times for a UFO or alien. He’s a guide. He can see possible futures and give advice based off his visions, or he can be a physical guide and lead you back on path. He is kind, but very few meet him. He is also deceptively strong and a fast flyer, so don’t be fooled by his adorable appearance.

Paranormalswap Papyrus –Known as Piper. Also a moth, but he often has his wings tucked against his back. He can put people to sleep and give them dreams. He can also cause sleepwalking. People misunderstand who he is often. They call him the Pied Piper, the Bogeyman, the Sandman. Honestly, he just wants to protect the children around his town. If that means spiriting a few kids away to a safer place or plaguing a shitty parent with nightmares then hey, it be like that sometimes.

Paranormalswapfell Sans –Known as Reaper. He chose the nickname for himself. Like the grim reaper, he doesn’t actually choose when someone dies. His job is to make sure dead souls 1) understand that they are dead and 2) make it to the river to the afterlife. Once he gets them to the river Mystery Man helps them onto his boat and takes it from there. Reaper also punishes those who try to cheat death.

Paranormalswapfell Papyrus –Known as Hound. Reaper insisted he go by Hellhound, but that’s not the kind of vibe he wants to give off. Hound usually takes the form of a large dog, and in his skeleton form his jacket has fluffy ears and a tail. He can move through shadows, making him quick. His job is to protect graveyards and other resting sites from those who would disturb the dead. His shapeshifting abilities are top-notch, too, so he sometimes goes for walks through town. If you see a scruffy dude buying out the pastry shop, it’s probably him.

Paranormalhorror Sans –Known as Orion. A great hunter. No one knows much about him, and no one cares to. The most agreed upon rumor is that he goes after hunters who only hunt for sport and trophies. Some come back from trips to the woods bloody and mangled, babbling about a rotten smell and a skeleton with fangs. It’s argued that if he’s close you’ll lose your wits and only be left with the primal fear of a prey animal. Others say you’ll feel a bitter cold. It’s hard to say what the truth is since very few that meet him live to tell about it.

Paranormalhorror Papyrus –Known as Wirry. He has vines and brambles growing around his bones, and when the plants die it’s a whole event to remove them. He usually won’t sit still long enough for Orion to untangle them. He’s a gardener, an herbalist, and a cook. Rumor has it if you dare to approach the abandoned farm where he lives, he’ll make you a delicious meal. As in, he’ll make you into a delicious meal. Of course, that’s just a rumor. He hasn’t eaten human since the famine. He can bring decay to a garden or make it flourish. At sunrise he stands outside and looks over his field, causing many to mistake him for a scarecrow.

G'day to you! Could I get a Paranormaltale matchup, please? She/her pronouns, if that’s okay. I’m an adult above 6'0" in footwear with brunette hair half that length, freely draping over much of my face and torso however it pleases. I’ve got slate-blue eyes and am always dressed in all black from jeans to faux leather to chains. 

I game, read, dabble in writing, draw some, sing, can play a couple instruments, and am bilingual. Storms make me smile, the cold is where I feel most at ease, stargazing is a loved pastime, and I enjoy snapping pics on my cell of anything I find interesting while out and about.

Being anxious and fairly socially inept, I prefer the night and empty places, so I go about my day taking back roads and traversing through public areas only at the oddest times to avoid the general populace. I’m not shy; reserved, yes, and not one for conversation, but far from timid. My balance is terrible, major depression has been a constant weight, and I should probably put more work into having more than two and half friends at any given time.

I like to explore abandoned locations and untrodden scenic spots either searching for inspiration, animal watching, the paranormal, or just to get away for a time with some music. I’ve taken home more than a few strays I’ve found doing just that, as well as had to wait out many storms in the middle of nowhere.

I match you with Mercury (Paranormalfell Sans)

Mercury appreciates your sense of style. He thinks you look badass. He also has a thing for tall partners — it’s not a requirement by any means, but he finds it attractive. 

You’re so well-rounded! Mercury is honestly impressed by how many skills you pick up. Although Mercury is good at what he does, he tends to focus on improving his small skill set rather than broadening his horizons. He has a lot of respect for people who pursue multiple interests. Sometimes he feels like he isn’t as creative or smart as you, not that he’d tell you this. He doesn’t want you to feel like he’s asking you to dumb yourself down for his sake. He just has self-esteem issues. If you notice him down in the dumps, try telling him how great he is, or ask him about engineering. He LOVES to talk about engineering. 

Notice more cold and stormy days? That’s Mercury. He knows what you like ;) Of course, he can’t always control the weather (Wirry would KILL him if his garden flooded) but he loves to indulge you when he can. On days that you’re depression is bad he’ll hit the town with a thunderstorm (a mild one) so the two of you have an excuse to stay inside and cuddle all day. 

Being a cryptid, it’s only natural that Mercury would stray from crowds. He’s more than happy to have your dates in quiet locations and knows plenty of mysterious places for you to explore. One particular place he takes you to is an abandoned toy store, which sounds weird, but the dusty shelves lined with tin soldiers and broken dolls make for some cool photos. 

Mercury thinks it’s so sweet that you take in strays. You’re so full of compassion! He loves animals as well, he just doesn’t have the means to keep a pet, but he’ll help you find your fluffy friends a good home or help care for them if you adopt them.

I seen the event and couldn’t contain myself so, a matchup request! 

Pronouns: She/her

Appearance: Short, brown hair/eyes, pasty

I’m fairly quiet unless I know people well, I struggle to articulate genuine emotion (but can/will chat about everything else under the sun). Love the outdoors, and adventuring to new places but not fond of exercise. A fairly quick temper but I tend to get over it fast. Love to craft but I’m not always good at it (sewing is the worst but crochet is the best), read and write a ton. I tend to lean towards food/acts of service when showing affection, sometimes physical but I do have a bit of touch aversion (and also PTSD and anxiety but I manage those well enough on my own, usually). Awful at flirting and apparently dense when being flirted with. I get embarrassed easily but am never ashamed of it, which comes in handy because I can’t walk more than ten steps without eating floor. A bit of a mess in terms of style, I can’t match to save my life so I don’t bother. I forget and lose things easily and I tend to a bit of a motherhen with anyone who is not me. And I’m a sag…I think that’s it lol

Places I like to go: I prefer quiet/open places (less crowds), museums, libraries, outdoor exhibits, etc

I match you with Hound (Paranormal Swapfell Papyrus)

Hound is pretty flexible when it comes to dates, so whether you want a night in to cook and craft together or a day out, he’s game. He’ll take you to his favorite hidden places and let you ride on his back if you get tired while exploring. On craft dates he’ll ask you to teach him how to do what you’re doing so he can make you something. If you give him any of your crafts he’ll treasure them forever. Soft things like scarves and plushies will be added to his nest. 

Hound is good at reading others’ emotions and is understanding. He empathizes with your struggle to articulate genuine emotion; he has a habit of handing over most of the conversation to his peers and is more concerned with others’ feelings that expressing his own. That’s something you can work through together, though. Chatting is a good start. He always loves to listen to you talk, and if you make it known you’ll listen to him as well he’ll open up more. 

Because he’s so attentive to your needs and emotions, he’s great with things like comforting you and knowing when you need to leave a situation. He’s patient and understanding, but also intimidating enough that nobody is going to mess with you if you’re upset and need to be alone. 

While Hound loves to cuddle he’s not pushy about physical affection. He’s sharp and will quickly find out what love language you respond to best and adapt to that. He ADORES it when you cook for him and shows oodles of appreciation when you do things for him. Sometimes it makes him flustered because he feels he’s not worth your hard work, but if you’re happy to do it for him he’ll accept it graciously. 

If you have a habit of losing things, no worries. Hound has a habit of collecting. If you can’t find something check his nest; chances are he picked it up and meant to return it to you but forgot. 

Like to be cozy and don’t care about fashion? Perfect! You can borrow his clothes. Wait until you see his favorite sweater. It looks like the 70′s threw up on it.

Paranormaltale AU Skeletons

Directions: Send in some facts about yourself and I’ll match you with one of the Paranormal AU skeletons. I’ll also write a short one-shot in which you and your matched skeleton meet. The one-shot will be personalized to fit the information you give me, for example if you mention you love to read the one-shot might be set in a library.

Hi, I'd like a match-up uwu I'm a girl (she/her or they/them). I'm 5'6" tall, pale and skinny af and have really long, blonde hair. I hope that's enough for the physical description. I match you with Stein (Paranormalfell Papyrus)

What draws Stein to you is your curiosity and love of learning. Once he gets to know you better he’s thrilled to find someone who can keep up with him. Literature and language are two particular passions of his, so that’s definitely something you two can bond over. He also knows quite a bit about the town’s crime history — and the history of anything he touches — so if you’re looking for information he’s a gold mine. He loves long intellectual conversations with you, but if you’re feeling quiet, don’t worry! He can talk enough for the both of you. 

While he has trouble going on dates during the day, he’ll gladly take you wherever you want to go at night. One of his favorite things is to take you under the town. The library has a basement that opens up to a tunnel system underground, all the way to the mountain. It’s mysterious and full of old treasures. He also takes you to the roof of the music hall to dance under the stars when he feels particularly romantic. 

Stein insists that you let him help you with your sleep schedule. Just because he’s up all night doesn’t mean you have to be! Humans are fragile and need rest. He’ll make sure your dates are over in time for you to get the proper amount of sleep, but if you want to stay the night in the library you’re certainly welcome. He can set up the projector to watch movies with you until you fall asleep or take you for a walk around town if you’re restless, then carry you home once you tire yourself out. 

Empathy is a trait Stein looks for in a partner since he often has trouble expressing his softer emotions. The fact that you can see past his rough exterior and understand him is something he appreciates immensely. 

Stein is already a protective partner, so the fact that you’re easily frightened only heightens this. When you’re scared he pulls you close and promises that he’ll never let anything — or anyone — harm you. And anyone who teases you for being a scaredy cat will face his wrath.

Hey I wanted to join in on the matchup for paranormaltale? Idk how to start without sounding awkward so I’ll just start:)

I use she/her pronouns and I’m pansexual. I have blue eyes, currently have light pink hair (I’m thinking purple next) and I’m on the chubby side. I struggle with sensory issues and dissociation, I’m getting better but I have my lapses. I also tend to bottle a lot of things up and push it down, but I’m working on becoming a better communicator. I love to swim, do nail art, eat anything with pasta, and look at memes. I love to go to the library, the mall, the pool/river, or just the comfort of a familiar bedroom. I try my best to be nice to everyone because you never know what people are going through. I tend to be pretty quiet, I love to joke around but I have to hype myself up most of the time to do that. I’m pretty touch-starved, and once I get comfy with a person I tend to just always want to touch them in some way, but I respect everyone’s boundaries. I’ve been told by many (including a customer once) that I have rbf. Because of that I don’t tend to judge others quickly.

I  match you with Piper (Paranormalswap Papyrus)

I definitely considered Puck for you, and I think you’d get along with him as well, but end the end I chose Piper for his calm and patience. Puck is rambunctious and overwhelming at times, though you do have similar interests so I’d say you two would be great friends. 

Piper values honesty. He is also patient and understanding and will work with you on communication. The fact that you want to be better with communicating means more to him than the fact that you sometimes bottle things up. He gets that it’s hard to share your feelings sometimes, so he’s always gentle and encouraging when you feel like clamming up. 

When it comes to sensory issues Piper is a great person to have around. If you’re overstimulated he’s quick to get you somewhere calm and gets you whatever you need to feel better. He has a sensitivity to high frequency sounds and coarse fabric, so you never have to worry about squeaky noises or scratchy textures at his house. He also never just flips a light on or off, instead gradually increasing or decreasing the lighting because of his moth-like vision. 

At first he’s not sure how to help you when you disassociate. He just kinda… keeps an eye on you and makes sure you’re hydrated and fed. You’ll have to tell him in advance what to do if you start to disassociate when he’s around. It scares him, and he’s a huge worrywart afterwords, but he’s good at getting you what you need and keeping calm despite his fear. 

Memes and pasta are two of Piper’s favorite things. Macaroni and cheese is his go-to and of course Puck and Stein have their spaghetti and lasagna,  so dinner is almost always either a type of pasta or takeout. For him, wolfing down insta-mac and texting each other memes is the height of romance. 

Piper usually keeps his wings tucked away, but once you two have been together for some time he’ll take you flying. He’ll take you to the spring for a late night swim, or to tour the museum after hours. If Stein isn’t in a foul mood he’ll take you to the library. He’ll either read to you (he does great character voices!) or sketch you. He loves to draw you. If you let him, he’ll also help make designs for your nail art. 

He values kindness as much as he values honesty, and he adores that you try to be nice to everyone. That being said, if anyone tries to take advantage of your kindness he’ll be the first to rush to your defense. That aside, he loves how sweet and cuddly you are. You absolutely may cling to him as much as you like, he is a Snuggle Bug.

When you start to open up more and joke around with him he’ll fall in love with you 10x over again. He’ll joke back gently at first, never quite teasing, but pretty soon you two fall into a habit of bantering.
