So I find it extremely hilarious that the two most recent parties with deeply tied roots in Exandria that we’ve seen with Bell’s Hells and the Ring of Brass are both essentially two parties that in any other setting would be individual NPC’s with connections to each other. And they’ve even been described as such by the cast at some point or the other.
But I find it wonderful that in any other setting they would be NPCs but in this story, they are the main characters, living breathing people with agency and purpose and hopes and dreams and ambitions and families. It makes our world a lot more complex if you just take a look at it for a minute, especially with the increase of strange parasocial relationships and emotions that people (myself included) are likely to have due to the exponential increase in the use of social media, types of entertainment and media, and the warped version of authenticity that is sold to us constantly.
