is it just me or does Dean's worry about Emma speaking so early seem to include some fear that a baby has been possessed?

Aaand now I want a fic of a baby being possessed then saved and adopted by Dean... why do I do this to myself...

dean loves babies bc he doesn’t have to preform around them he can be soft and vulnerable and silly and they won’t judge him they just laugh and coo and burrow against his chest. dean would love doing skin to skin and just rocking his little baby and holding them and blowing raspberries on their tummy and nomming at their pudgy cheeks to make them giggle

Parent Dean

This is the kind of thing I miss in the current version of Supernatural. This is such a simple almost a throwaway kind of scene, but we get so much out of it.  We get the basics of how worried Dean is, how well they lie and think on their feet, the way they keep track of each other, their aliases, etc. 

But my favourite is the conversation. Like, we don’t hear anything of what the person on the other side says, but from Dean’s expressions and his answers, you can guess what kind of person it might be and imagine them.

Classic SPN was really good at showing the audience things without spelling it out to the audience verbally word for word.

Girlies! Dean has totally kissed Sam on the forehead when he’s asleep or when Dean THINKS he’s asleep. Sam curled up on his side with his hair in his face looks so much like Dean’s baby brother Sammy he just cant’ help himself.. He will deny ever doing it though

I like the general concept that dean basically raised sam but when it comes to jack he just instantly forgot how to take care of a child so he becomes the disaster uncle who in theory means well, but also definetly gave jack beer in a sippy cup once and called it a day
