Ed and Winry think they’re so slick but everyone just acts like they don’t notice in front of them. Coincidentally, this is the same thing that happened to Roy and Riza when they started dating.

I watched the second fma Netflix adaptation. Here’s the best of my notes:

Lots of weird pauses and slow-mo’s to mimic anime fights but it reads weird as live action and I don’t like it

I will say they did better on characterization this time around I feel like they’re close to the actual characters

But it’s hard to get close to them since they aren’t, well, animated characters. Trying not to judge too harshly.

Also it’s good they didn’t change the layout of Riza’s explanation montage for Ishval because it works really well in canon and translated pretty well to live action

Conclusion: it was okay. There were parts I genuinely liked. There are things that also bug me to no end. The soundtrack from the original series would’ve fit way better and a lot of times it sounded like an off brand marvel track. Acting and cgi was a lot better (at times.) An improvement on the first one, and a semi-worthwhile watch if you have nothing else to do and you like fma. Cannot and will never be a substitute for the original obviously. Seems like less of a cash grab and more of a genuine effort this time which I appreciate. Overall? 6.5/10

another random found family Roy headcanons shitpost

(again, they imply that the parental bonding happened in-between canon events, and some of them might contradict each other. they are purely random)

one time, Ed and Al published a book, and Roy was going around bragging about how proud he was for them (far from Hughes-level but STILL)

for some time after the end of the canon, Ed worked as a part of Mustang's team and their banters pissed everyone off but not seriously

to slack off work, Ed walked Black Hayate and really grew fond of him. Riza let him slack off (did I just put parental Riza in a parental Roy post yes of course I did)

occasionally, Ed would bring Mustang coffee with sugar. Mustang pretended to be pissed off. everyone pretended they didn't know Mustang put sugar in his coffee secretly

one day during these times, Mustang got a cat. someone thought that putting a box with a kitten by his door was a great idea. when Mustang was on detached duty, Ed would come and feed the cat

Riza taught Ed how to updo his hair in more than just two simplest ways

when Roy comes to Ed and Winry, they don't cook meat (I headcanon that Roy can't really eat meat except chicken very rarely because well you know the smell)

also during Ed's work at Mustang's team, Roy controlled the maintenance of Ed's automail leg and forced him to actually take care of it (he's afraid of Winry)

when Ed was stripped of his State Alchemist status, Roy would give him the needed documentation to have access to alchemy books from any sections of the library
