That was one hell of a weekend. By that I mean its broke me. I had a lovely weekend visioned in my head. Some weekend #vanlife vibes. But we had arguments over who was sleeping where, arguments because of careless stupid mistakes, tears because of cancelled plans (which then went ahead anyway) I felt like because we went from stress to stress my head was never truly as “in the moment” as I’d hoped. Just not quite the weekend I thought. In fact it seems like that how some of our days go at the moment! Tainted by arguments & foolishness. There were some good bits and looking back I hope these are the bits we remember. 🌿 I managed a Saturday morning river swim. It really is the best way to wake body and mind. 🌿 We went to the beach for the first time since March. Which was brilliant. Felt busy. But brilliant. 🌿 Paddling in te sea, hunting for shells, making a cuppa In the camper and drinking it right there on the beach. While the kids played. These are the moments I live for. 🌿Finding a lovely little campsite that had a cafe onsite that made amazing bacon butties. 🌿Squeezing in some time on the canoe. 🌿Then finishing the weekend along the canal last night chatting about what boat we would like and I’d we could buy the lock house we walked past. I hope as life continues to get to a new normal the stress of heading back to normal will lessen as I’m sure that has plays a major part in everyone’s attitudes. Right on to Monday. Let’s see what the week brings. The last week of homeschool.
