We made it to Friday! Hope you're all well! ❤
In this post I'm going to say ten positive things of the week:
1. Oscar enjoyed going to Beavers - really glad! I went as a child and loved it and I'm glad my children can experience similar things I did.
2. Trix enjoyed going to Scouts - will be really good for her confidence.
3. All three children had a great time swimming - something else I enjoyed thoroughly as a child! Plus something they all enjoy together.
4. I was able to eat in a restaurant yesterday with family - although self conscious as hellllll it was nice to be able to do 'normal things.' I also managed to fit down the slide at the park 😂 Winnie wolfed down fish fingers and chips like there was no tomorrow and sat and actually said "look, there's people." Despite the masks and regulations it felt normal.
5. Treated myself to new beauty bits and focusing more on self care, without a bit of self care how can my children have the happy mother they deserve. Everyone should do self care, even cleaning your teeth is self care or having a shower. I know, sounds daft right, the most simple thing? Actually it's something a lot of people struggle to do when they have depression or anxiety. As a mother I often never buy things for me, feeling guilt in such luxuries but I'm allowed to buy skincare for myself and shouldn't feel bad about it. I still do though but still.
6. Organised Oscars birthday - after last year's drama all I want this year is for him to have a happy day.
7. Despite my lack of sleep, I still get to wake up surrounded by my 3 children who all scramble into my bed at 6am for cuddles.
8. The weather has sucked but I made it to the park with Winnie on two occasions and missed the rain.
9. My family and I all have good health - can't comment on how everyone is doing mentally (that's a whole other subject) but physically all well.
10. The kids are able to go to school - last year home learning wise was stressful, 3 children of different ages is a challenge but I'm glad they are currently able to be amongst their peers. Also, I SUCK at maths, I'm glad someone else can teach them maths 🙈
What are some positive things from your week?
