Good afternoon, members!! We’re aware that many of you are going back to school and thus have very busy schedules, and us three being students ourselves we completely understand that real life comes first and foremost!! Thus, we have done our best to be gracious about activity and decided to lay off activity checks for a while so there wouldn’t be pressure on our members while they might be dealing with stress and other things outside of the rp. However, we do ask that if you need to be offline for an extended period of time, or have sudden circumstances to deal with, that you simply inform us by ask or private message and we can thus place you on hiatus. Otherwise, we can’t really tell who is leaving and not planning on coming back, or who just needs time to sort some things out ooc before returning to the group! 

So, we will be contacting each and every member to check in on you and ensure all is well, and to also put anyone officially on hiatus who may need it but didn’t have the chance to inform us. Unfortunately, should we receive no response after waiting a period of time, we will have to reopen a character’s faceclaim because it’s simply not fair to any hopeful applicants wishing to join with a faceclaim taken by an inactive member. 

In addition, because there are some new members who have maybe not yet seen the task or had a chance to get to it yet, we are extending the deadline to September 1st. We hope this encourages those of you who haven’t participated yet to get a start on this task!

Please know this is not a punishment of any kind or an attempt to guilt any of you. You are always the most important part of what we admins do and only want to make this the best experience for you, which is why we are taking these steps! Paris HQ is excited to announce it’s very first, and very colourful task!! As it has barely been a week since officially opening, we first and foremost wanted to come up with a task that would focus on creating a better understanding of your characters and exploring the depths of their personalities. We believe this task will not only be beneficial for you and the development of your character, but also for other members to learn more about your unique muse!! That being said, all of the information you need for Task #1 can be found under the read more!

Participation is required from everyone, though we do hope you will to enjoy it instead of considering it a chore!

The purpose of this task is to explore your character using colour as your guide, which is explained further below.

Pick a colour that you believe matches the personality of your character. We would prefer you to pick more specific shades than just red or blue-- try crimson, or azure. Such specificity could correlate to certain traits unique to your character that we would love to see you talk about!

When you have picked your colour, either make a simple aesthetic graphic featuring that colour in 6-8 photos, or you may upload 6-8 pictures that you like that feature the colour, if making graphics isn’t your forte. This is where you can be most creative, picking pictures of certain items or things in colours that perhaps correlate very specifically to your character’s interests or traits, etc. Some examples of colour aesthetic graphics can be viewed here, here, and here.

Upload the graphic you have created or your selected photos, and then in the description write at least one full paragraph describing the colour you have chosen in its correlation to your character. For example, you may have picked a crimson red because your character stands out strongly compared to others, or some other reason you see red associated with. 

Google is your friend in finding the right hue!! Many websites offer insight into meanings behind certain colours, and even if they don’t explain the exact shade you have chosen, you can use an explanation of the basic counterpart of your shade as a guide (if there is no detailed info on the shade of olive green, use explanations on the simple colour green as a starting point).

This may come a little late as far as announcements go, but this is the official announcement of an indefinite hiatus for Paris HQ! This group meant a lot to us admins, too much to let go entirely, so we decided to ultimately have a hiatus for a few months until we can reopen at a time where perhaps more people will have become adjusted to new schedules for the year and have the time to get online. 

We appreciate everyone who came to Paris, no matter how long your stay, because you made all of our work worthwhile and helped bring this rp to life. We hope to see some familiar faces when we open back up in the future and that we can provide an even better experience the second time around. Thanks again, lovelies!!

As much as I hate do to this, I come with bad news. You may have already been able to tell that this main is not nearly as active as it used to be; this is partly due to Paige and JT’s busy schedule but mainly my doing. And by this, I mean my utter loss of muse, and motivation in the recent days/weeks. Please don’t think that the reason behind that is anything to do with you guys! It honestly has nothing to do with anyone and in fact, losing muse is just impossible to prevent sometimes. While I so badly wish I could be the hard-working and dedicated admin I wanted to be, it’s very difficult for me to do so when I hardly have the motivation to do anything roleplay related at all. With that being said, I have made the decision to close this group. I hope you all believe me when I say that I feel absolutely terrible for leaving after such a short period of time and closing something that (hopefully) made other people enjoy themselves. You are, however, still encouraged to continue roleplaying as your muse if you wish — all this decision means is that the main will no longer be active. Again, I’m so, so sorry.
