Ooh! On my 12th birthday, my mom accidentally set the oven on fire because it hadn’t been cleaned in a while so I got to meet the entirety of the local fire station cause they were bored and hadn’t had a fire in a while!

And two years ago, my mom was so busy taking care of my aunt, who was recovering from surgery, that she forgot it was my birthday. I called her a couple times and she just thought it was a regular day since we talk all the time. I actually at one point asked her what day it was and she thought about it for a while and then guessed, “Tuesday?” I haven’t let her live that down yet
