she rolled her eyes a little bit at his compliment, although she did appreciate it. it was a bit cliche to be a struggling artist in paris, but she was full of cliche’s. she offered a smile before looking back at her painting.

she really hadn’t expected to be locked out of her apartment on such a chilly evening in paris, but if there was anything that came more unexpected than that, it was adam’s suggestion that she came and stayed with him. to anyone else, it probably would have been an expected gesture, but she happily accepted the offer. it was small, which she had expected —- but it was a pretty kind of small. it was the exact image of how one would picture a french flat in the hustle and bustle of paris. brenda was absolutely exhausted from spending the day in the city to the point where as soon as she was changed, she was already curled up in the blankets and settling in for bed. was it rude of her to take his bed without so much as his permission? probably. but, she was just too tired at this point. she almost expected him to take the couch, but when she felt him slip in right beside her, it caused her lips to easily curl into a smile. brenda easily slid closed to him so that she could easily press a soft kiss to his cheek, once again as a thank you for his generosity and kindness he had shown her.

He had been so nice to her since the two had met, which only made her desire to come back even more prominent. Brenda loved to listen to him play, and it didn’t hurt that he was so kind in return. Her tiny fingers grazed over a few of the keys absentmindedly before she continued.
