well #watchthisspace we'll see them before that, but i am definitely all aboard the hudcon-met train 🚂
based on absolutely nothing but vibes if im honest, but if i were taking a test and needed to support my answer, i'd say not only will ysl have a table at the met, but they're (one of) the main sponsor(s) for the entire affair. connor's probably ysl's hottest ambassadors rn (in my incredibly biased opinion). usually at this stage post-hype, it's not unusual to see the general hype start to slow idle or die down around actors in these positions, but we're pointedly Not seeing that with connor (or hudson for that matter). it would make complete sense to me for connor to be on that carpet.
as for hudson, well let's just start off with the fact that he was invited to the oscars within barely 4 months of HR's debut. a couple months ago, no one knew his name. e!news (as much as i despise them) literally had a hud-cam. they were tracking that man, trying to get as much of him as humanly possible. they probably had some designated intern working overtime for that shit. both him and c swept the media on the VF carpet. hudson's hype isn't dying down any time soon (likely never will). he is making huge strides not just as a talented actor, but he's carving a space out as a defining voice that's actively reshaping what a leading man can look like. and his fashion ??? lord take all anastasia's suffering and give it to me instead, she deserves the world (her and aika. im crushing on aika, leave me alone). H and A are making such waves w hudson leaning into androgyny, i honestly think it'll be the biggest shame if anna wintour were to overlook hudson for the met this yr.
speaking of anna wintour, she's vogue's editor in chief and all met invites must be approved by her. according to the new york times, she prefers individuals with a high degree of achievement, buzz, and beauty. dare i say check, check, aaaand check? i mean, camila mendez compared connor to elton john yesterday.
now im not a met-warrior, i don't post up to watch the live, but i Do stalk the looks. that said, i had to do some reading.

im in no position to make any speculation on which checks have cleared for whom or why, so i wont say a thing about the ticket prices or the likelihood of anything, but i thought i'd leave that there if anyone's interested.
the long and short of it is that i think there's definitely a possibility, purely because i want there to be and im able to find SOME reasonable doubt that the option isnt off the table entirely.
that said, when (not if. #manifesting) hudcon Does get invited to the met, we'll probably see them before the actual event bc they're likely going to be staying in the same hotel (fuck it, same room, idc). the mark hotel and the carlyle seem to be the hot spots for stars to stay during this time. loads of spottings happen in and out of there, so my money'd be on a candid sighting before the met itself.
beyond that though, the boys are meant to have a pwhl game tonight, no? as much as i hope we see them tonight, i do also hope they're able to enjoy the game without much disturbance. they'll likely have a box, so thats reassuring. im lighting all my little candles hoping the two Do show face at the game, but who knows. they're both incredibly busy atm so i wont be putting ten toes down on this happening.
