When most things are covered in snow, winterberry is one of the few winter food sources for wildlife like this northern mockingbird. Parker River National Wildlife Refuge in #Massachusetts is comprised of more than 4,700 acres of diverse habitats and provides pristine coastal habitat for over 300 species of resident and migratory birds, as well as a large variety of mammals, insects, fish, reptiles and amphibians. A fringe of frost decorates the salt marsh during a pink sunrise at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Located along the northeast coast of Massachusetts, the refuge provides vital feeding, resting and nesting habitat for migratory birds. In addition to its mission of wildlife conservation, Parker River offers a variety of excellent recreational activities, including surf fishing, seasonal hunting, photography and wildlife observation.
