There will come a time, when you're running with your friends through the middle of the night at 11:07 to the parking garage to avoid the parking fees you'll get at 11:09. When the adrenaline is coursing through your veins, your chest burning while realizing how out of shape you are but knowing in this moment, at this time, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. And you'll finally know why after all this time, why you chose to stay. Why you didn't give up. Why you're still alive. You'll look up at the night sky, and thank the lucky stars - the ones you've been looking up at since you were a child - that whatever force kept you here didn't give up on you. You'll realize you'd pay the extra parking fees over and over again in a heart beat if it meant you could always feel like this, accepting who and where you've been and who and where you are and who and where you're going to be.
