Back in Indiana for the Memorial Day weekend and the formerly-a-golf-course natural area is in fine shape. Ryder and I actually saw two water snakes but the bigger one bolted when it saw my shadow. The little guy was not so nervous- but we were further away from him.

Stourhead House - Wiltshire - England

The House, and its Grounds and Parklands, are open to the public and is run by The National Trust...

The Stourton family had lived at the Stourhead estate for 500 years until they sold it to Sir Thomas Meres in 1714. His son, John Meres, sold it in 1717 to Henry Hoare, son of wealthy banker Sir Richard Hoare. The original manor house was demolished and a new Palladian Style house, one of the first of its kind, was designed by Colen Campbell and built by Nathaniel Ireson between 1721 and 1725.

The Domain

Once again inspired by an Instagram story I headed over to the Domain to see the cherry blossoms!

I decided rather than just follow the street, I'd duck down the Grafton Gully shared path, which I realised I had never actually walked! I only ever cycle along it. 

The Gully path spits you out just across from the Domain so I headed over and fortunately the cherry blossoms are just nestled at the bottom of the hill. 

I really love the little red bridge across the stream, I often take this path outside of blossom season just to walk across it.

Quite a few others had the same idea to come and see the blossoms it seemed!
