The Human Tour
The little things that made the day amazing (spoilers)
- We managed to make standing still outside in 4°C for three hours a fun experience
- I felt at home amongst these people that very clearly were a dodie crowd with pride flags, glitter highlighter and Harry Potter scarves.
- Gradually throughout the three hours in queue, little Dodie-buns popped up on people's heads
- How everyone went completely silent, and had the decency to not run up to her, upon seeing Dodie who walked casually along the queue and into the main entrance
- Keeping warm by bopping along with all our hearts to "Absolutely Smitten" and other songs to the entertainment of passersby who stopped to watch
- The little girl who sat and watched us in fascination from her window for a complete hour
- The sweet girl who went around asking for everyone's snapchat and offering hot fries to those who had cold fingers
The concert
- The sound-crew rocking Tessa Violet merch
- Orla was so into her music that she was ready to lift off the stage with enthusiasm. A darn beautiful woman
- The emboldened energy in the crowd when we sang along to "God is a woman" in the intermission
- The girl in the crowd who flirted with first Orla, then Dodie, managing to make them both blush with flustered smiles
- Someone in the crowd had a polaroid camera and asked Dodie to take a photo with it. She was more than happy to and took a selfie with the crowd
- How intimate it felt when Dodie told us about each of the songs, confiding in us with her joys and sorrows as if she would with her friends
- Looking around at the faces in the crowd while Dodie sang "She" and realising how beautiful and important this song is for so many
- How adorable the violinist was in "You"
- Experiencing "Sick of Losing Soulmates" live was powerful
- The whole room bouncing up and down towards the end with dodie
- Dodie + drums = precious
- Dodie making an effort to personally recieve all the presents and cards that were sent forward to the stage at the end
