He  knows  all  their  faces;  but  he  supposed  that  that  wasn’t  so  hard  a  feat,  you  know  ONE  and  you  have  a  good  idea  what  they  all  look  like,  what  they  sound  like--  (  well,  with  some  variations  ).  So  he  knew  him  when  he  saw  him.  

Normally  GREY  skin  takes  on  a  pallid  hue  while  he  is  still  out  of  SIGHT;  perhaps  lighter  than  average,  but  nothing  disconcerting---  and  he  walks  to  Marvin  at  a  friendly  stride,  hands  tucked  away  in  the  pockets  of  his  coat.  He  waits  for  Marvin  to  turn  to  look  at  him,  and  he  gives  a  gentle  smile.

I always thought about doing that.                          Hey-- how about we mix it up, I’ve got fifty bucks in my pocket,                          and if you let me borrow your card deck for just about-- 5                          minutes, I’ll give it you. An  exhale  of  breath  ;    a  wide  smile  that  doesn’t  quite  meet  his  eyes  .    A  pair  of  wireless  headphones  rest  against  the  nape  of  his  neck  ,    a  well  needed  gift  after a  certain  incident  to  still  distract  Henrik  from  …    the  nature  of  his  work  .

It  would  be  easy  to  lie  ,    to  boast  in  false  confidence  that  he  knows  everything  will  be  alright  .    He  is  the    GREAT    doctor  Schneeplestein  after  all  !    The  desire  to  do  so  ,    however  ,    is  tempered  by  his  memory  .    This  is  his  love  .

Desiccated eyes landed on the Magician. His throat looked appeasing to his eye. His hand itched to crush it, but remained by his side obediently, aplomb and resting. 

“Nothing.” It came, corrupted and not quite convincing. His smile, however, was an excruciating sight to anyone with an overstretched imagination and gnawing anxiety. “Nothing at all.”

Beady black  eyes  scarcely  raised  from  the  fragile  blossom  on  which  they  seemed  fixated.  The  entity  hummed,  finally  plucking  the  the  flower  and  holding  the  stem  between  two  ashy,  grey  fingers.  Pyxl  closed  one  eye,  raising  the  blossom  so  that  it  covered  Marvin’s  mouth  along  his  line  of  sight,  he  seemed— for  a  split  second,  genuinely  rapt  in  the  magician’s  inquiry.

Then,  he  LAUGHED,  not  a  sound  that  was  inherently  disconcerting;  it  bubbled  about  in  his  chest  like  oozing  tar  before  exiting  in  honeyed  chimes.
