These Crispy Garlic Butter Parmesan Smashed Potatoes are the perfect mix of crunchy, garlicky, and cheesy tastes. They're a tasty side dish for any meal.
Ingredients: 6 medium-sized potatoes. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 4 tablespoons butter, melted. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 425F 220C. For about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft, boil them in salted water. After you drain the potatoes, let them cool down a bit. Put the potatoes on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it. Squish each potato gently with a fork or potato masher until it's flattened but still whole. Cut up some garlic and melt some butter in a small bowl. Spread a lot of the garlic butter mixture on each mashed potato. Spread the grated Parmesan cheese out evenly over the potatoes. Add pepper and salt to taste. After the oven is hot, bake the potatoes for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. If you want, you can add fresh parsley as a garnish before serving.
