Winter Wonderland
As a kid, whenever I heard “Winter Wonderland”, I always pictured two women walking under the snow together, then when the song went “he’ll say ‘are you married?’, we’ll say ‘no man’”, I used to think it just was a guy that came to hit on them. Now, as a teenager, I know that Parson Brown is a priest who was actually asking if the people needed someone to marry them. And if you match it with my childhood version, it’s a priest asking if two girls need to be married. To each other.
