Frame of Mind - Part 146
Synapse tapped one of his ears before glancing over to Lumi.
“They aren’t alone, Vanna has Rover too, so it shouldn’t be bad”
Lumi tried to smile but grew more worried.
“It’s true they aren’t alone but…”
Synapse decided to look over from his seat.
“But?”
Lumi looked down at Raptor then to Synapse.
“Char doesn’t have Raptor and her Receptors aren’t exactly… Stable”
Synapse blinked before pondering slightly.
“Not all of them are in an unstable matter… But, why are they?”
Lumi pondered as Raptor tried to understand on what they were talking about.
“Vanna has only a few Receptors we are aware of and I have only seen one that is deemed unstable…”
Lumi rubbed her head softly before petting Raptor’s head again.
“They are very different… In terms of technology and stories”
Synapse gave a weird look.
“Are you blaming the tech we made on this?”
Lumi shook her head.
“Sure, a prototype has a few minor hiccups and glitches, but I don’t think that is the reason”
Synapse slumped back in his seat and sighed.
“What is it then?”
Lumi leaned forward and taps Synapse’s shoulder which made him look over.
“Its how they are and how they react”
Synapse raised an eyebrow.
“What does that mean?”
Lumi rested an arm over the front passenger seat while looking at Synapse.
“Have you not paid attention how they act? Vanna, I see is a little reserved but is not afraid to speak her mind out. She means well”
Synapse nodded slowly, he got that down.
“These tie how?”
Lumi poked Synapse’s nose to which he blinked.
“How does Char act around most of the time?”
Synapse then realised what Lumi meant and started to recall everything he remembered.
“Well I remember at the wharf in the arcade she was having the time of her life… any other time really is…”
Synapse trailed off for a moment before stopping in realisation.
“Is?”
Synapse removed his glasses to clean them with his shirt while thinking.
“She doesn’t really act so friendly most of the time… Like she doesn’t want to mingle with others”
Lumi nodded that Synapse was getting where she was getting at.
“Why doesn’t she want to mingle with others though? Compared to that day, she seemed so happy”
Synapse then remembered an important moment.

Beatrice stumbled across a grave that gave her head a stabbing pain when look at it, in fact it t’was the exact same pain she had received earlier that day. The premonition from Mama Voodoo’s psychic reading. She gazed down at the old grave and had to squinted her eyes to read; ‘Samantha-Hain Beauchanan 1810 - 1848′ Beatrice gasped in complete shock! Beatrice was aware that people had been buried in this particular graveyard from the 1600′s or even before but Samantha-Hain looked exacly like she did! She was her past life!
