DID SOMEONE ORDER A GOOD OL' CASE OF TAROT CARD SYMBOLISM?? >:]

Got the idea to do this piece cause 1. This is based on the detail that in B's Noir outfit he has a tarot card in his hat rather then the classic playing card or something, which.....I absolutely stole from a friend of mine whose Noir inspired character has the exact same thing but shhhh- But uh- when doing research in finding a suitable card I settled on "The Hermit", and thought the pose/key aspects would be fun to replicate like i've seen other people do, so decided to give it a shot! And 2. ...I try to do at least one fully rendered piece every month, that way at the end of the year i'd have a good spread of my progress, and buddy i was running out of time to think of anything else, so I settled on the sketch I did a while ago (which can be seen HERE in this doodle dump i did), and here we are X'D

And....okay not gonna lie when I started this it was a bit of a struggle, mainly due to work and school dragging my ass away from working on it, but one dat I had 2 hours in between classes with no work due, and I locked in like never before-

But really i'm pretty happy with this!! Composition was real fun to do, actually was a last minute idea to add some blur/focal lenses to some of the glass shards, and glad I did! Also felt like my rendering's been getting a lil better, fun using certain colors to help out (and in this case b l u e), was fun to use all the g l o w from the crystal, and overall was a great excuse to use more of my guy >:] .....wait is this my first actual rendered piece with B on here-? 🧍‍♂️

Anyhoo, onto the actual symbolism, I felt "The Hermit" fit B really well, what with his default being secluded in a van most of the time, and trying to figure out who he is when so much of himself from before WKM was erased (like his fucking name) and being difficult to keep track of all the variations he's put through. Plus when I saw the main staple OF The Hermit card being having a lantern, or just any light source of some kind (representing searching for wisdom in ones self ohoho), I immediately thought of the Warp Crystal being that source of light, and that idea was too cool for me to n o t at least sketch it X'D

This also reminded me that i really wanna learn how to read Tarot cards!! Seems just real fun to do, plus would be really interesting to understand all the meanings and interpretations, would be great to work that more into some pieces, but for now just learning bout one tarot card is a good start I think! :'D

Overall real happy I was able to get this done in time, back i go to school hell (one more month till summer i am counting the fucking d a y s), really looking forward to drawing more if I can cause fuuuuuuck I have ideaaaas BUT THE ESSAAAAYS-

Frame of Mind - Part 149

Raptor whined from the backseat but managed to carefully shift over to the front passenger seat.

“I hope the same Raptor…”

Synapse waits a moment before turning the car down the road in which the male disappeared and followed along it.

“How far was he dragged or so?”

Raptor kept on the lookout before squeaking.

‘There!’

Synapse immediately stopped and the sight he saw made his insides uneasy.

“What…?”

Six males were groaning in pain on the ground as Char stood in the middle, staring them down.

“Get up and scatter guys!”

The males slowly got up and ran out of the area; Synapse unbuckled his belt and got out the car.

“Char!”

Char moved her head sightly to her right indicating she was aware of his presence.

“Char? What happened?”

Char then cocked her head back with a toothy grin.

“She’s not home; please leave a message after the tone… Beep!”

Synapse’s insides ran cold; the tinge of yellow within her eyes was familiar in every sense.

“You… What did you do?”

Char pouted softly before spinning around slowly, it was obvious she fought the males because of some red tinges in her clothes and on her face; the scratches and red ribbons of blood.

“Have some fun with some bullies, what else is there to do with a bully?”

Synapse cringed at the sight before him, Raptor whined loudly from inside the car.

“You didn’t have to hurt them!”

Char whined before grumbling lowly.

“Oh please… They already had the intent of hurting us and the girl. I just decided to make a deal at the time”

Synapse raised an eyebrow.

“A deal?”

Char stepped over slowly towards Synapse, each foot hitting the rain puddles with a loud splash.

“Yeah, deal was as long as I did my job of protecting that stupid girl… I got control; it was worth hearing them be confused and panicking over a girl who can fight back even harder!”

Synapse flinched and gulped anxiously.

“So, by possessing her you’d get a fun game out of it?”

Char shrugged at Synapse’s comment with a grin.

“Fun game to get back at those bullies and to protect that girl as I said, in exchange for protection I got to bash up those bullies. Thankfully we held back to just bruising”

Synapse blinked, Ehecatl being one to hold back was something odd.

“I never pictured you one for holding back”

Char chuckled darkly before looking up at Synapse slowly with a cheeky smile; that smile ran shivers down Synapse’s spine.

"Yes lovely." She adjusted her some.

"When is Papa's birthday?" She asked leaning against her.

She blinked in surprise. She'd never really asked him. In her head it was when Image woke in his new body but... ~Image love?~

Communicating back was hard for the clone but he managed to do it... ~Yes?~

He focused on feeding the babies

She pet moon's hair ~when do you feel is your birthday?~

~Birthday? Ummmm When I was created.... cause that is when I was given life. You want to know the Anniversary?~

Moon cuddled into the gentle petting.

~yes? You give us birthday parties.~

~ That would have been..... yesterday. And it is different. ~

~How so?~

: ~You were born, our children were born, I was created and given life. The anniversary of my creation was yesterday, but I do not have a birthday~

~Its still a birthday of a sort. Unless you'd rather the day you woke up in your new body.~

~No, I would want it to be the creation day. it was a day given life to me. What brought this conversation up?~

~Moon asked~

~So what are you going to tell her?~

~That is was yesterday but we are going to celebrate this weekend.~

~Oh? And what do you have planned?~

~You'll see.~

He chuckled kissing Alaska's head. ~Still not fair. Who's birthday is next? Narvi and Vali's?"

"Daddy" Moon whispered. "Are you goanna answer my question?"

"Daddy's birthday was yesterday but that's okay cause we are celebrating this weekend." She smiled. ~Aye.~

"YESTERDAY?!" She exclaimed. "Why did no one know?"

~we should start planning that.~

"Because you Papa is a stubborn man." She answered. ~Yes we should.~

The girl made a face. "A stubborn man...."

~ Who is first? Vali? We need a calendar~

Lies laughed and kissed her forehead. ~Aye. and yes.~

Moon smiled. "I will 'member that."

~Ideas for gifts?~

"No you won't." She kissed her forehead again

~Vali like playing the harp...~

"But Daddy...."

~We don't have one.... we should get one.~

"You won't." She stated firmly but gently.

~Aye. I think Narvi is more saxophone.~

Moon nodded and leaned against her. "Thori says that you smell like baby. What does that mean?"

~I think we can get a saxophone too. Does she know how to play?~

~Not yet. But she's shown interest. Oh dear...~ Lies kissed her cheeks. "It means you may have another sibling soon."

~Maybe we will get her some lessons as well.~

"Really?" She smiled

~Aye.~ Lies nodded. "Really really but you have to keep it secret."

~Good we have a plan, we can ill in with small stuff too. Books~

"I keep good secrets."

~Aye. Seeds for Narvi to plan and gems for Vali to work into jewelry~

Lies smiled at her.

~ Sounds good, it is something to start with for sure~

"Does Papa know?"

~Yes.~ She smiled. "He does."

"Is he excited? Why did we not know before."

~Sorry I did not tell you about my birthday.~

"We are keeping it quiet for now." She told her. And she'd be having a talk with Thori. ~I forgive you love...and I understand.~

"So I can tell Papa I know?"

~Thank you. I love you."

"Yes you can darling." She smiled. ~I love you too.~

"Yay!" She chipped. "I happy"

Image gave a sense of a smile

Lies hummed happily and hugged her.

Moon hugged her back. "I love you Daddy."

"I love you too sweetie. Why don't you get papa for me."

She nodded and wiggled out of the chair. She ran to papa and a few moments came back with him. "Smart girl figuring out about the baby."

"She had help." She whistled

"Thori?" he whispered

Lies nodded some.

"Ahhh. I think we need a pet family meeting."

Agreed." She whistled again

"Do you want me to stay?" Moon asked at the door

"Aye." She smiled

Moon bounced over to them and held her arms up. Image scooped her up and sat back on the bed.

Lies cuddled with them when their pack of dogs came running in

"Run Thori!" Moon chirped.

"What?"

"You are goanna be mad so I give warning."

"I'm not mad..."

"Not?"

"Nope."

"Really?"

"Really really."

Thori's head perked to the side.

Lies petted his head, scratching behind his ears

He made a happy whimpering noise.

She casted the spell so her and Image could understand him

"feels good." Thori whispered.

She laughed gently pulling him into her lap.

“ Why are you /not/ mad?" She asked

"Because we were going to say soon. But I'm glad you told us first that you knew."

Moon nodded and Thori understood.

"Oh"

Lies looked to Thori and gently tapped his nose. "Has she been safe?" She asked him

'I have been watching the little, she has been safe for the most part."

She pet him gently. "So you scented the pregnancy on me?"

"I always do."

"...and that's why you always stuck closer to me during those times..." She hesitated, wondering.

"I am always close to you. I need to protect"

"...is that how you found me as a pup?"

"Your sent called me."

She hugged him

he nuzzled into him. "You are mine to protect what I can. it is my calling."

"If I didn't know better I would say you have celestial guardian in you."

"That will have to remain a secret"

"Oh?"

"Oh indeed"

She scratched his ear

Image smiled and pet the dog as well.

"Love you my pup."

"And I love you to master."

She kissed the tip of his nose

He smiled and curled up with the group. "Hulgon and Sif are glad to be in this group." Thori whispered

"Are they?"

The vallhun raised her head. "Aye. we are. WE are pack, we are family. Protect, Thrive."

Lies petted her too. "You are as much my children as the babies are."

'I big girl" Moon yawned.

The great Dane, still puppy size, army crawled over to her. "Big girl little one."

Lies looked at Image giving him an amused smile

Image chuckled. "I like that, Big girl little one. We have a fantastic family unit."

"We really do."

Moon yawned again. "Not sleepy.... Happy birthday Papa..... even though it is not your birthday any more."

Lies smiled softly

Image smiled and pulled her into his lap, letting her relax there. "Thank you baby girl."

Lies hugged him

Image happily leaned into the hug. "I love you, and everyone here."

"We love you too."

"Love.... Stubborn.... Baby... Daddy.... Papa" Moon whispered curling up into a ball and falling asleep, purring

Lies chuckles

"Stubborn?" Image asked with a light chuckle. "Well then."

“Got me love."

"Calling me stubborn?"

She gave him an innocent look

Image chuckled and played with Moon's growing black hair.

"You are stubborn though."

"In some cases."

She chuckled

"You never spoke about it before, is it an undesired trait?"

"Sometimes I want to rattle you for it but I wouldn't have you any other way."

"I'm positive love."

Image nodded and hugged leaned against Lies holding moon

"My family."

"Ours. Our unit."

"Aye."

Image smiled. "So what do you want to do for the rest of the day? Our seemed to taken to sleeping."

"Hmm. good question."

"Any thing in mind?"

"Hmmm. play with the instruments?"

"The Piano?"

She nodded

Image smiled and moved slightly putting Moon on the bed the dogs curled around her. "Then come, let us play."

She nodded and tucked Moon in with a lap blanket before following Image.
