day 5 - demon form/hunter AU

i am once again making the maknae of a demonic kpop group the oldest and the leader the youngest for no other reason than i still think it’s really funny

rumi’s backstory is almost exactly the same, her parents’ species just swapped and she didn’t end up being a hunter (gumiho miyeong, hunter dad. parents die tragically, celine takes her in. except celine’s also a gumiho in this one). gwi-ma kept her around for science. she grew up moderately terrified of the concept of her own mortality and ended up making a deal with gwi-ma when she got a bit older to become full demon

i like the concept of a zoeybaby siblings dynamic but never found a place to put it so i’m doing it here. they’re like twins who don’t know who’s older. they both refuse to address the other with any honorifics which for the time period and culture is weird as fuck. also zoey isn’t actually her real name because who tf is named zoey in 8th century korea (+ i just remembered the linguistics post i made a while ago), so she picked it out as a stage name. a stage name she definitely needed and did not pick out just so she’d get to watch daeun try and fail to pronounce a z
