I dont have a reddit account and writing to Voldemort about relationship advice is the most amusing thing ever.

As in, are boys impressed by competence? They certainly should be. I never fancied a girl who appeared to not know what she is doing in regards to something important to me.

Knowledge - or willingness to learn - has always been highly prized for me.

I cannot imagine why any person would want a partner who presents as clueless or helpless.

I would say if you are extremely competent in a subject or hobby, your ideal partner is someone who appreciates and enjoys that competence. It should be one of the reasons they choose you - just as I chose Bella because of her magical ability, confidence, and dueling skill.

Your abilities are what make you unique.

For the red, gold, purpel and swap papyri what would their ideal partners be like?

These are just my best assumptions about who these boys' ideal partners would be, which is not to say that if you don't fit the criteria then they wouldn't want to be with you, just someone like this would have an easier time catching their attention.

Rust (Swapfell Red Papyrus): Rus' ideal partner is someone that can take care of themself but can also depend on him. They have to be able to roll with the punches and keep on going, but he'd rather have someone soft hearted at his side. He's got enough cynicism to keep you both covered. He likes someone he can have deep conversations with.

Coffee (Swapfell Gold Papyrus): Coffee's ideal partner would be someone who is patient with him, doesn't mind that he goes through periods of nonverbalness, and doesn't mind ordering for him when they go out together. They don't have to share his interests, but he'd like it if they were ok listening to him info dumping about them. Someone who is patient, considerate, and soft but also assertive would be best for him.

Marmalade (Underswap Papyrus): Marm's ideal partner would be someone who is relaxed, open, and honest with him. He likes someone he can tease and joke around with who has a clear set of limits and boundaries. Someone who won't push him but will be willing to try new experiences and grow with him.

Syrup (Swapfell Purple Papyrus): Syrup's ideal partner would be someone who is very physically affectionate, who can drag him up from a spiral and won't put up with any of his bullshit. He'd like them to have an open mind and a sense of humor to match his weird tastes. He needs someone dependable and reliant to be there for him who won't enable any backsliding from him.
