Hilda was outside enjoying the nice weather when all of a sudden a dark shadow overcast the spot she was standing at. Wondering what the hell caused the sudden shadow Hilda looked up only to see a gigantic robot descending down from the sky and landing close next to her. Not expecting the sudden appearance of the robot Hilda was shaking on her legs as she looked up at the robot.“Oh god it’s so big, I’m scared.”

She didn’t even notice she had muttered those words to herself.“What the in the world are you?”

Say uh, what do you think a world where giant monsters are legitimate animals that have existed throughout the history of the Earth (including the mythical ones like chimeras, griffons, gorgons, etc.) and have somehow found a way of coexisting with these creatures of various abilities, genera, and intelligence or at least having been around them long enough to have some kind of dependable countermeasure would be like?

Actually, I don't think it'd be a bad idea to draw some small inspiration from both, especially Monster Hunter. Though I wonder if that'd still apply if most of the kaiju were roughly...100 m? 25 being the usual smallest fully grown? We'd pretty much be ants to beasts of those size, I imagine. I feel like we'd kinda live in our own separate worlds, unless a kaiju actually started attacking for some reason.

The common theme in both is that while conflict between man and monster will always exist, humanity can survive if it learns to treat the monsters as a part of the world, rather than treating them like something to exterminate.
