britney thought this little gingerbread contest was a cute way to get to know the other members of the island better and since she didn’t have too many friends and more fans, she figured this was a good chance to gain more friends. or even some fans, her mom agreed it was good press to do it. so there she was, waiting for her partner sort of nervous because she hadn’t made a gingerbread house in a good while and she was sure her partner wanted to win more than she did. when she was sur e she spotted her partner she sat up straight, flashed one of her professional smiles, and extended a hand. “britney-britney, but please call me britney,” she said, hoping it sounded light-hearted. “And you’re pascal, right?”

Morph hadn’t stopped laughing ever since they had read Pascal’s tweet, spilling over with endless amusement at their friend’s expense. As hilarious as they found the situation, however, they still made their way with as much speed as possible over to where their friend had directed them. 

Pascal could probably hear Morph approaching even inside the cabinet, their chuckling very much unmistakeable, and once Morph reached it, they knocked on the door with a shit-eating grin. It was the type of cabinet that, once closed, could only be opened from the outside, and it was very apparent how Pascal could easily have managed to get themselves locked in. Still, Morph didn’t think they would let this one go for a long time; after all, this was much less a Pascal thing to do than a Morph thing to do (though Morph liked to think they had evolved beyond such rookie mistakes as getting themselves stuck inside furniture).

They reached down to open the door. ❝ Yo, got here as fast as I can! Who were ya even hidin’ from, anyway? And why wasn’t I invited? ❞ Morph rearranged their expression into a scandalised look.
