My bland headcannons
If Hard Mode ever gets finished, the genocide run should have more bosses. Actual fights against Grilby, BurgerPants, the removed two guards, and Alphys. As well as Disbelief Papyrus replacing sans. (I’ll explain in another post) And gaster as the true final boss. Chara should be the final boss of the pacifist run.

Thought of an Undertale AU
It’s probably been thought of, but I’ve not seen anything on it, but... Imagine, for each monster you befriend or spared gave you a gift.... And for each monster you killed. A souvenir or ‘trophy’, of your target. Example, Undyne would give you a small replica of her spear or something (idk, not likely), but if you killed her, you’d pick up her helmet or eyepatch or something...
I was internally screaming as this idea formulated in my head. I guess a title could be something like Itemtale? or Droptale? Pascifist would be ‘Gift’ run and genocide ‘Souvenir’ run I suppose? Neutral I’m not sure, I guess ‘Loot’? I dunno. Imagine coming up to sans in the last corridor after a souvenir run wearing Papyrus’ scarf and Undyne’s helmet. Imagine the reaction he’d give you. Something like: how dare you wear them like prizes God what have I done.
