In the dark morning, the passengers of the RER do not know that they are travelling along a line of light within the powerful darkness. A streak of light in the night that is coming to an end. No one is there to tell them.

Nel mattino oscuro, i passeggeri della RER ignorano di viaggiare lungo una linea di luce nella potente oscurità. Un tratto di luce nella notte che sta finendo. Nessuno è lì per dirglielo.

Ces soixante-sept personnes qui marchent sur le sable du désert égyptien sont des rescapés de la mort. Au loin brûle la carcasse de DC 4 qui les transportait quelques instants plus tôt du Caire à Johannesburg. (1960)

These sixty seven people, who are marching in the Egyptien desert are the survivors of a plane crash. in the back one can notice the smoke of the burning DC 4 that transported them a few moments earlier from Cairo to Johannesburg. (1960)
