getting acquainted
hi so i woke up at 5:30 AM because i went to sleep at 9:30 PM last night. I guess I beat the jet lag? now I'm trying to figure out what time the sun rises here.
Living in a flat with 5 other people including Kevin from China and Aiden from South Australia. Haven’t met the rest yet, but I am using their WiFi instead of paying for my own :~)
I also met Todd from Zimbabwe and Tom from the UK who showed me around the supermarket which is a 2 minute walk across the street. Oh and since the cars drive on the opposite side of the road, I looked the wrong way before crossing the street and almost got hit. twice. Todd saved my life. twice.
We have a week and a half packed with a full itinerary... I was sort of hoping for my own time to explore but this will suffice and help me to get acquainted.
Sam, Hannah, Julia, Melissa, and I discovered that the drink of choice here is a bottle of $7.00 Passion Pop champagne (just bc its cheap... lol). I also found two barber shops and will have to make the ultimate decision of where I will show my loyalty when getting a haircut for the next four months (which is only like three or four haircuts so I’m not sure why I’m making a big deal of it).
Now I’m off to take a shower which feels oddly similar to a pressure washer... I don't think I’ve ever wanted a shower with less pressure.
A full day awaits me, so cheers!

Verdict: A bit gross but when you’ve been dranking you don’t really give a shit
