Achievement Unlocked: Longshot I received a birthday present #mailcall from my best friend today. Inside was a GCG graded 9.8 copy of Longshot issue 3. With that my goal of collecting the original Longshot series in near perfect condition. Longshot is one of my favorite heroes. His powers of probability manipulation (good luck) only work based on Altruism, by doing the right thing simply because it's the right thing to do. I recently met with one of Longshot's original creators, Ann Nocenti. She let me know that originally people found hom boring. I couldn't believe it. Now I want to meet Chris Claremont and asked him why he added him to the X-men line up? So now my Longshot collection includes: Longshot 1-6 CGC graded 9.8 Longshot 1-6 signed by Ann Nocenti Marvel Age #29 (first appearance?) Christmas 2022 My gifts this year from my incredible family! An extendable back scratcher The timeship USS Aeon from Star Trek A Grifter action figure 9.8 CGC graded issues of Thor 338, 339, & 340 Having finished off my sets for Weapon X, Longshot, and Kyle Rayner Green Lantern, I told my wife I wanted to get the introduction arc for Beta Ray Bill. She got me 3 out of the 4 books. She's pretty freaking awesome! Now it's up to me to put some pennies together and save up for the first appearance. I think I made out dame well! Hey David Hindelang! Matthew Rosenberg thought you cover work was awesome! Went to a signing event this morning at Third Eye Comics for Matt Rosenberg and Tyler Boss's new book, What's the Furthest Place from Here? Both guys were incredible! I highly recommend you check out this new Image series. While there I asked Matt to sign some issues of Batman: Urban Legends. Matt wrote the story introducing Grifter and the WildC.A.T.s into the current DC comic universe. I Love Grifter, Zealot, and the Wildcats! Taking advantage, I show Matt the excellent commissioned cover I got at Awesome Con drawn by David Hindelang. He loved it! Way to go Third Eye Comics for putting on another cool event! A nice mail call arrived just in time for this #throwdownthursday several blank sketch covers of @jeffkingtv Convergence 1 and @grant.morrison The Multiversity These two books are fantastic for any sort of team up or battle with any @dccomics characters. Convergence is a story about the different worlds of the multiverse battling each other for survival. The Multiversity is a story about the different worlds of the multiverse coming together to save everything. In fact, I already have one Convergence cover drawn by the incredible @dingodile24ca of Lobo facing off against Doomsday. Now to figure out which characters I'd want and some great artists who would like to draw. Any takers? Always excellent pick ups from @to_be_continued_comics this weekend! This place is great! First up, issues 1 & 2 of @simonebianchiart connecting covers of Secret Wars. And now I'll be looking for 3-8. Next the second appearance of my favorite Beta Ray Bill as he lays the best down on Point Break. After that the first appearance of my favorite Lantern, Kyle Rayner. Then some @johntylerchristopher love with the Luke Skywalker variant of Star Wars 1 Last but not least Power Pack 19. While I'm not the biggest fan of the Pack.
