I was commissioned by a longtime friend from my family camp to draw her husband’s favorite place from his childhood. The place is called “Esquire News” and was located in Pismo Beach. It is unfortunately no longer in operation, but the photo I used as reference looked like it was such a lively and colorful place. I really enjoyed drawing and coloring this building. I rarely draw buildings since I find them a little difficult to do than people, but doing this was actually a little easier than I thought. And it turned out really beautiful in the end.
