The "yaoi effect" in comic art style kills me

It's probably a divisive topic, but as a gay guy, I think I can speak on it. I'm always annoyed and frustrated when a guy comes out as MLM, there's usually series where he's depicted as doe-eyed and with softer features, tying into the stereotype that men attracted to men are feminine (whether they were or not to begin with; no offense to fem gays; my annoyance is moreso on the revision than the topic). I'm told this is due to the influence of yaoi, which boggles my mind.
