trans people in general should listen to mtf / trans women more. i thought i was pretty good at paying attention to trans women, but by god the minute i started listening MORE, my worldview started becoming a lot more well-rounded.

also, yes, trans spaces need to be for all trans people, men, women and others alike, but no one has the fucking right do deprive trans women of trans women only spaces.

Trans women did not lead the stonewall riots. That is a myth. Marsha P Johnson showed up in the early hours of the next morning after the rioting had been going on for a while and Sylvia Rivera was passed out from drugs on a park bench for the entire thing.

are Marsha and Sylvia the only trans women in existence? The stonewall riots were started by cops trying to find trans folks and send them to jail, mainly targeting drag queens and trans women.

also, a lot of people corroborated that Marsha climbed up a lamppost and dropped a heavy bag onto a cop car, shattering their windshield literally the next day after the start of stonewall. so shes still an icon in my book. she also marched on cristopher street liberation day (the first pride parade), and co-founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries with Sylvia and then they were both banned from participating in pride parades because people said "drag queens" were giving the community "a bad name" and they fucking marched in front of the whole parade. They also did a bunch of other radical activism and Marsha hit cops with a bag that had bricks in it.

so yeah don't just fucking say that. Marsha and Sylvia were badasses and also not the only trans women participating in the stonewall riots.
