"Please remove your glasses" (ok, but ehi, wait a second!) my 9/11 transfer at LA Airport started with this automatic selfie. #Passing through #security in a #USA #airport is a #painful couple of hours. The only #policy in the world where #passengers have to get through #immigration, being #recorded, #photographed, #fingerprints taken, collect their #luggage a and drop them again, walk 150 metres in #US #territory, pass through #controls again, being #XRayed and everything. #Imagine this on the #15thanniversary of #911. It also marks the week I moved permanently to #UK. I now have a #selfie provided by the #automatic #passportcontrol machines. Few more hours and we'll be in London keep to #followme to see more #documentary, #travelphotography and streetphotography about the world we inhabit. (at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX))

And the winner of the Free Range Art Week is Dylan Fox from The University of Northampton with ‘Border Control’, an interactive artwork that addresses aspects of gender transition from assigned female at birth to male, reflecting the lengthy nature of gender transition. After completing the border control form the audience is required to take on the role of passenger, submitting the form to the two security and waiting to be approved or declined. Here is Karen Ashton from Art Car Boot Fair, another judge, who was accepted through ‘Border Control.’
