that's okay dw! i like hearing about it :D that does sound like a good story omg

it’s not really a horror story at all, like it is kind of creepy, but a lot of it is about ethics and such

like, adam talks about how he was brought into this world against his will and his creator just abandoned him because he was so horrified at what he made, and how adam tries to connect with humanity but because he’s 8 feet tall and basically dead, people always react in horror and hurt him.

the narrative asks if he would’ve became a monster if he had been loved, if he had been shown kindness.

yeah!! and that's great :D getting into something is always fun! i haven't read the book, but i was kinda thinking about it recently o:

the book is very different than most pop culture movies about it

it’s basically 19 year old goes off to college for the first time, gets so hyperfocused on literally making a human being that he almost dies bc he forgets to take care of himself, is very upset when the results aren’t as expected and is a jerk to his kind of son

the creature actually does have a name! it’s adam. he’s described as being really eloquent and agile and he relearned how to speak from reading paradise lost. there’s a lot of emotionally fueled conversations between the two of them

i’m ranting a bit, sorry!!!
