[[ - Aventurine: Are they the opportunistic sort, or do they typically let chances slip by? ]]
All Corpus are taught to be opportunistic from an early age.. or they learn how valuable it can be on their own. It’s a dog eat dog system, and only the quick, the crafty, and the ruthless get rich. In this regard, Alad is a vulture– he’ll circle a corpse for morsels, he’ll do the unthinkable if he believes it’ll benefit him. He’s started wars, destroyed old alliances, poked at a hive of ancient superbeings ( despite being warned ), and attempted to destroy his old friends for his own gain. It’s just business. And businesses need opportunities, even manufactured ones. Who is he to deny that?
[[ - Chalcedony: How do they consider their allies in regards to themselves? Do they reach out to them, or do they typically keep to themselves? ]]
[[ answered in another ask ! ]]
[[ - Turquoise: Do they strive for success or do they typically prefer to go with the flow? ]]
Alad strives a bit too hard. Therein lies the plot of pretty much all of the old events
I will say that when he does ‘go with the flow’ it’s only because he’s watching events from afar... biding his time... waiting for a good chance. And, well, watching things unfold is fun, isn’t it ? I’d imagine that’s what he’s up to in the game right now, post-Shadow Debt... Lurking.
[[ - Onyx: How do they handle hostility from others, whether verbally or physically? ]]
Alad is definitely the type to bite off more than he can chew when it comes to this. We’ve seen him time and time again get waaaay too confident with face to face confrontations, especially with the Tenno. I like to believe he thinks he can’t be hurt, or that he’s too important for it-- and that he has a lot of confidence in the protection that his proxies give him. notable thing of dubious canonical quality: The Gradivus Dilemma was kicked off by an internet flame war that alad startedAlso notable is how it took a parasite hivemind taking him over to consider, y’know, carrying a weapon to defend himself with.............
