"Faravenel's Dreams"
This is my dream:
A fair house of white stone, and many rooms on wide lands of great rivers and sapphire lakes, deep forests and green fields stretching to world's edge.
As many good and happy years as there are stars in the sky, as many strong sons and graceful daughters as there are angels in heaven.
In spring, kid, calf, foal and lamb amble after their mothers in verdant pastures.
When summer comes, crops are sewn in fertile fields and children play games on great steeds of many colours.
Harvest brings celebration and thanksgiving to God but also preparation for the coming dark.
Winter arrives robed in all in white and silver crowned, and the wind comes walking and whistling through, and stars go wheeling by.
And standing beside me, through triumph and tragedy, though heaven and hell, one who I could call 'Beloved': a man of strength and courage, humility and honour, charity and grace, abiding mercy and incalculable wisdom.
These are my deepest desires.
