ARTICLE 1. NATIONAL TERRITORY. 

The national territory comprises the Philippine archipelago, with all the islands and waters embraced therein, and all other territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction, consisting of its terrestrial, fluvial and aerial domains, including its territorial sea, the seabed, the subsoil, the insular shelves, and other submarine areas. The waters around, between, and connecting the islands of the archipelago, regardless of their breadth and dimensions, form part of the internal waters of the Philippines.

The article above  from the 1987 Philippine Constitution shows how vast the territory of the Philippines is. It is not just about the massive mass of lands, but also its surrounding waters being an archipelagic country. This should be understood, especially to know our boundaries and limitations, since the state should have the only power to control and to decide throughout the extent of its territory.

Unsurprisingly, territorial dispute between China and the Philippines is now considered as one of the biggest problems our country is facing today because the presence of Chinese forces in our territorial seas, for which they are claiming, is a huge threat to the Philippine national security.

The Philippines is known for having a plenty and rich natural resources. Most of these can be found in the waters of the country where some remained untouched and still undiscovered. However, the protection and preservation of our fluvial domains is highly advised because different marine scientific researches are still to be done in order to find out the other hidden and isolated riches of the Philippine Environment.

Relatively, territorial arguments is now being settled in accordance with the international laws, with all the factual information given by this country to the international tribunal just to prove that the areas and bodies of water to be claimed by other countries form part of the national territory of the Philippines. We are the one who should benefit  the most from it and should have the full control over our waters, without the intervention of other giant countries.

Alam mo yung pinakamahirap sa patagong nagmamahal? Yun yung tipo na nasasaktan ka, di niya alam. May ginagawa siyang hindi niya alam na nakakasakit na sa iba. May mga nasasabi siya sa'yo na hindi niya alam di mo dapat malaman kasi may nararamdaman ka para sa kanya. Pero dahil di niya alam, nangyayari na lang lahat bigla. Matitiis mo lahat kasi simula una, ikaw naman ang nagdesisyon nyan. Wala mang laban, makita lag siyang masaya, sulit na ang araw mo. Yung kahit umuwi kang nasasaktan, ayos lang basta alam mong masaya na siya. Masaya na siya, yun lang naman ang pinanghahawakan ng mga patagong nagmamahal, mga bantay sa kasiyahan nila. Kayang isugal ang kahit ano para sa ikasisiya ng gusto nila.. Ngunit, sa patagong paraan ang pinakamasakit na pamamaraan. Patagong kinikilig. Patagong sumusulyap. Patagong inaalala ang araw na napasaya mo siya. Patagong nagsesave ng mga text mula sa kanya. Patagong tinitingnan sya sa malayo. Patagong tinutulungan siya. At dahil ang puso ay napapagod din, hahantong ang lahat sa patagong magmu-move on.. Ang galing no? Dahil sa patago na yan, nasiyahan, nasaktan, umiyak at nakapag move on ka na,di pa rin niya alam.
