Patch! (and Beaman). In this au, for those of you who know the comic, she's something similar to Suzy (i thought giving her journalism club would be a more constructive hobby than being a cop).
Her motivation for investigating the club is that last year, her best friend Diego abruptly stopped speaking to or hanging out with her and her friend group, at the same time that he joined the Activity Club. (Name not final, it might end up being the Umbrella Club or the Academy Club, but for now i dont have the creative energy to change the name from what it its in paranatural).
Diego, meanwhile, obviously isnt allowed to share that the activity club can see ghosts, but also doesn't want to hang out with his old friends because ~he could put them in danger~, because of course he's like this.
Patch first asks Viktor to spy on the club for her, who is the first newbie after Diego. Viktor is sympathetic but refuses because he doesn't want to get involved, but tries to reassure her that he's fine.
Lila "transfers" a few weeks after Viktor joins. She can already see ghosts (and is familiar with the commission), so she's already on track to join the club. When Patch asks *her* to spy on them, she says yes and immediately tells Patch about all the terrible things they're doing to Diego in there.
