Creature smiled as Betty showed him the rock. “That was kind of her. You two are quite close, aren’t you?” He thought it was sweet how motherly Betty was towards the young girl. It made him think about what it would be if they ever had their own children one day. Assuming they actually could, he had no clue if he’d be viable option for that given the nature of his creation.
“She calls you her mother…” he said carefully. Full disclosure, he’d been trying to figure out how to ask this for a while. Betty could be a bit sensitive at times, and he tried not to pry into her past. He understood more than anyone how hard it could be to talk about it. But he’d been curious ever since the girl showed up. “Is she your daughter?” Creature asked. He then quickly added; “It’s completely fine if she is. It doesn’t change how I feel about you, and though I’m not the best with children, I’ll do my best to be there for her as well as you, my love.”
