Now I’m mostly familiar with 5e but recently I’ve been looking into 4e and a little into Pathfinder as well. From this I have learnt that one 5e system I don’t like is how feats are handled. Having feats per every level like in 4e or Pathfinder could be fun and the thing is some feats will never get used if we have to sacrifice an ASI for them.

I need someone to play with but the only people on campus who aren't already in a group of friends who just ad hoc games are newbs. Is there a way/place to hook up with people online?

I highly recommend either Meetup.com or Roll20 to find folks to play with.
