Seeing some talk in @radiomogai's (sorry if I shouldn't tag you in something that isn't a coin) asks is making me want to talk about my hoarding.
I don't feel a negative, disordered connotation towards my hoarding, but it is definitely not enordered (aka: a function that benefits the individual).
I like to hoard the stickers on fizzy drink bottles...Or "soda"s, but have been scolded about taking them off the drink bottles. So now I'm piling up drink bottles on my floor since they feel too special to get rid of.
I don't THINK I have some connection with trash, but the other day my trash - thankfully not my drink bottles - disappeared (my mum took them) out of my room which gave me a small feeling of panic.
Whatever it is doesn't feel nice on me. Can't say it's majorly bad either though.
There are DEFINITELY positive ways to hoard, and I even feel happy about the things I've gathered over time. It's just that maybe a less ambiguous word should be used...
Or the term "hoard" should be made more fantastical to disconnect it from any disordered hoarding? Something like "dragon's hoard" or "crow's hoard" depending on what someone connects to.
