a hoarding disorder is characterized by having persistent difficulty getting rid of or parting with possessions due to a perceived need to save the items, many items that have very LITTLE monetary value. this causes extreme distress and anxiety and impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational, or other important areas of functioning

billionaires are fucking greedy and are actively choosing to not spread the wealth amongst the masses

pls god understand words have meaning and important context, ESPECIALLY psychological terms that you cant just fucking shoehorn into meanings you want

a billionaire does not have a hoarding disorder. theyre just fucking selfish and greedy and do not experience actual distress and impairment especially in regards to being unable to let go of useless shit with little value

its beyond messed up that many, many of the same folk who say "im so OCD i love organization!" and "im such a hoarder i love collecting!" are the same folk who demonize anyone whos actually debilitated by this shit. like its just so absurdly cruel

I have so much paper. Literally, drawers and binders of paper. Enough paper things that I'm somewhat saving paper for a bonfire that's supposed to happen next month... and I'm not even saving nearly all of it, like cat food can boxes or cereal boxes.

Some paper, I just don't want to use. It's an old habit from not being able to afford food, much less fun things I wanted, like paper. I keep it all, looking at it and never using it, because once I do it'll be used on something not as good as another thing I discover on some random unknown day in a vaguely imagined future. And then I won't be able to buy more because it was discontinued. You see the problem.

This is how "poverty hoarding" starts with Nice Things.

Paper ages. It gets fragile, fades, browns, falls apart. Some of this is now 10 years old and thanks to time blindness, I didn't notice until I thought, "oh yeah, I bought this at Jo-ann's, when I lived in my car..." When I lived in my car and mostly ate dry cereal because it was cheap and had nutrients, and I could store it in 150f+ heat. Or gas station coffee because I could bring a reusable mug that I washed at work, pay less than a dollar, and fill it with milk and sugar for the calories. Paper might be "irresponsible," but a few dollars on clearance stuff + my employee discount gave me reasons to look forward to something.

So yeah. USING some of this Nice Craft Stuff.

I can keep "samples" of designs I like and use up the rest. Or trade it.

I thought of this a bit over a year ago and then never did it. I can see where I started to, here and there. And then you know, ADHD and "newness." I'm on meds now so let's see if I can *finish a project.*
