Thinking about it... Did Maddie even have parents?

That was Robin’s thought as he wandered with Madeline towards the Eastern part of Celadon city. He had stumbled -quite accidentally- upon a young Madeline wandering unsupervised (as usual, thinking of it), saying she wanted to go see the ships in Vermillion city. She was refusing to be deterred, so Robin compromised and insisted at the very least, she be accompanied with someone. Maddie claimed her dad was busy at work, but since Robin had never seen such a father figure -who always seemed to be ‘at work’ when Robin asked, that it left Robin skeptical.

But Maddie seemed to insist on her dad being real and loving her -even if Robin pressed X to doubt on that-. With no other adult supervision he was aware of, looks like he was taking care of Madeline for the day.

The bug/dark type Pokemon was walking through the forest, unaware that they were being followed by the small child. They reach a cave and walk inside in order to find their siblings. Two small Shelis ran over with chirps and squeaks to beg for the food that Ghost had for them. The Vesils laid down their makeshift sack of food before looking over to the other very injured Vesils, designated Hollow.
