365 days of Tim and Lucy: 210/365 Oh, you're going to Hawaii. Congratulations on your engagement.
The moms of The Rookie.
patrice is such a savage I love her
I word vomited because Chenford
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think Ashley is a bad person or a bad character. A little odd, sure, but I don’t think she’s inherently bad. The only thing I have against her is that she’s in the way of Chenford, but it’s most likely just a plot. Although, I do think it’s weird that she doesn’t have more of a problem with Tim and Lucy’s relationship. I genuinely don’t know if it’s because she simply trusts Tim that much, or if it she doesn’t have the self-respect to care. Tim seriously said, “Pretend I’m proposing to her to freak out my coworker,” and Ashley really found nothing weird about that?
Chris, on the other hand, is red flag after red flag. He seems like he’s always trying to be more interesting than he really is. Trying to prove himself as a rookie ADA, talking about food on the double date, and then saying he loved Hawaii even though he’d never been. The thing that sealed the “I hate Chris” deal was him singing Dream a Little Dream of Me in front of Lucy. That whole episode with him was nauseating.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Why is Lucy giving this guy the time of day? She has never been shy about standing up for herself, so why didn't she kick his ass to the curb after the trial prep? It’s so out of character for her. Despite the lack of consistency with this show, I’m going to say that Tim and Ashley’s relationship and Chris and Lucy’s relationship are just setting the stage for a Chenford feelings realization. Especially with Ashley not wanting to get married or have kids, when Tim has blatantly expressed wanting that and with the promo.
I feel like Ashley and Chris have more in common and would make a better couple than their current pairings.
Lucy looked gutted when Tim said he could see himself married to Ashley and again when she though he proposed.
Quick blurb about everyone else. The opening scene had me wheezing with the way Wesley literally fell out of bed. Loving Patrice and Angela moments. I love Patrice as it is. Angela and Wesley are couple goals. I absolutely loved that Donovan’s mom brought Lila to see Nyla. That was a really sweet moment between the three of them. Grey and Luna are cuties. Grey went from hating Nolan to helping him achieve what he wanted, and I’m here for it. Nolan would make a good TO (despite the timeline for that, and pretty much everything else, having gone out the window).
Ok, the promo. Eric said that he had stuff to look forward to toward the end of the season, so I’m hopeful lol. We know Tim and Lucy are going undercover as a couple. I really don’t think Tim and Ashley are going to last much longer at this point. Tim clearly wants to get married and have kids, and I can’t see him giving that up for Ashley. I can’t even venture a guess as to why Chris is still around. I have two-ish theories about the promo and finale. The first being that Tim and Lucy go undercover and they realize their feelings, but they (either by talking to each other or not), but then it gets awkward between Tim and Lucy and we get some angst into season five. The second part of that theory is that they kiss while UC or end up snuggling because there was only one bed. Kind of along the same lines is that something like I just described happens, but they try to ignore it and go back to their relationships, but eventually realize that it won’t work. My second theory: whatever happens while they’re UC happens, but then they kiss after they get back and we get a cliffhanger.
I am genuinely curious to see what happens with Nolan and the being banished to the boarder and whatever happens with Pete. Because that’s historically hilarious.
I have some questions though. Why is Tim suddenly ok with Lucy going undercover? Does he go with her because he’s worried about her? If so, what does Ashley think about it, assuming they’re still together? Maybe he didn’t have a choice in them going?
I think that’s all of my thoughts 🥴😂
