So hyped for this one. Duo led by one of the best subterranean rappers of the last five years, NappyNappa. All production by Patrick Cain, his sound reminiscent of Mix-O-Rap’s jailhouse no-fi, Spectre and Sensational’s dusted illibent, and even early 80s Euro tape label minimal elctonics. NappyNappa plays the rap Captain Beefheart, walking up to the line of coherent verse structure and pulling back into abstract and stream-of-conscious fragments of wordplay. Out on the great Disciples label in May.
