The Riddler's 75th pt 2
Remember that book Ithaca I posted about the other day, gushing about its cover and plot? Well, I finished it and posted my review! It ended up being a slightly less than I was expecting, but still an overall good, solid read, so definitely check it out! It would be especially perfect for any of you that are fans of Greek myths and stories. :)
Okay, so I requested a review copy of this book and it finally came and I am so astounded by how GORGEOUS this cover is that I cannot contain my excitement! Just look at those colors.. that design... and it’s Ancient Greek related.. I’m in heaven.
For those curious: The book is called Ithaca and from what I’ve gathered it’s a form of a retelling of The Odyssey in which Telemachus, Odysseus’ son, goes out to find out what happened to his father. I’m just super excited because I’m a total classics geek and it’s just such an exciting idea and I can’t wait to start it! Have any of you heard of it/read it?

SaLo House Patrick Dillon
Images by Fernando Alda
I set about building SaLo to recreate an ecosystem and to undertake an investigation into the nature of tropical architecture. Over the years I used it as a sort of laboratory where I could experiment with building types and materials and methods and perhaps come to some sort of conclusion about those things. But it turns out that the experiment is better left open ended and the only thing I can say with certainty is that SaLo has immeasurably heightened my appreciation of simple, infinite things like space and time, thereby allowing me a glimpse of what just may be- paradise
The Story of Britain by Patrick Dillon
The Story of Britain is a great read telling you everything that happened since before England was conquered by the Romans to modern life.
It is beautifully told, in a way that even children can read it. The author gives great attention to details. For example, he doesn't just mention the "trees" in a certain story, but the "tall oak trees."
My favourite part of the book was the one about the 20th century. But I loved the whole book.
Great for any person from 8 to 80. Even my father read this one, before me!
Let me dream
If Tom and Patrick would become a couple and Sam would be jealous...
That would be an amazing storyline for a season 3...
"That's how all my straight friends kiss me."
