Just thought about something. The original book of Breakfast on Pluto is massively more explicit than the movie (even with Kitten being called 'Pussy' in the novel). And Cillian Murphy said that he loved the book. So when he found out a movie was being made, he said he practically begged for an audition.

Does that mean that Cillian Murphy auditioned for the role, completely anticipating that it was gonna be an exact replication of the book?

Book haul!

I did not intend on my little treat to myself to end up being all Irish books 😅 but that’s what happened. I’m actually still waiting on another Yeats book that must have been out of stock but not marked as such on the website.

So, I just finished reading Breakfast on Pluto and, while it is a good read, I prefer the movie overall. I would definitely recommend it as a read, don't get me wrong. But outside of how well the movie captured Patricia's core character, the book and movie are very different story wise.

The book confirmed Kitten (or Pussy as she's referred to in the book...which I wasn't entirely comfortable with) and Charlie as canon, and that made me happy.
