Patrick NASMYTH (1787-1831), Scottish landscape artist, born in Edinburgh, moved to London in 1810. His considerable output is unjustly overshadowed by that of his long-lived father, Alexander Nasmyth (1758-1840). As a teenager he had to learn to paint left-handed after his right hand was damaged in an accident. (1) Landscape, undated, oil on canvas (Brighton and Hove Museums and Art Galleries).
