“Is the future knowable? Will our older selves be anything like our younger selves thought we would be? We can only find out by writing it down and then putting it out of our minds and letting life take its course. The unraveling of time should be mysterious, don’t you think?”
— Patrick Ryan, from Buckeye: A Novel (Random House, 2025)
“Good fiction is always about what’s going wrong.” — Patrick Ryan
SMALL THINGS LIKE THESE (2024) Grade: B-
A quiet character study centered on a working-class man, told with patience and restraint. It’s a slow film, but one that rewards attention to detail.
More than anything, it feels like a reflection on society. It's subtle, observational, and grounded. The tension stays high throughout, even without any big action sequences.
A deliberately paced, detail-driven film that builds impact through atmosphere rather than spectacle.

Hello! Welcome to my No Place Like Home ask blog. :-)
No Place Like Home is referring to the Rojhelio Studios film made in 2007, featuring people such as Patrick Ryan, Neil Cicierega, Kevin James, Ryan Murphy, and more cool people!
I really like nplh, and I've only seen about one other nplh ask blog, which is @no-place-like-home-ama, and their blog is really cool so you should check it out..
This ask blog isn't really inspired by theirs, I just wanted to make a nplh ask blog since I really like nplh and ask blogs are fun!
So, if you wanna ask questions feel free! I might include art in some questions, if I'm up to it. Whether its traditional or digital, whatever I'm feeling for it.
This blog also will include some shipping content. I'm an extremely big tomcrow shipper, so YES you may send in tomcrow asks, or asks related to tomcrow. I would love to answer them!
MY RULES FOR THIS BLOG (please read):
No NSFW asks. I, the owner, am a minor and NSFW makes me extremely uncomfortable. I'm fine with slight suggestive humor, as long as it isn't extremely explicit.
Proshippers + variants DNI with my page. Even though I am pretty sure there's none of those types of people in the nplh fandom, still.
If I don't answer your ask, I may be busy and I will try to answer it as soon as I possibly can, or your ask may have made me uncomfortable. I will not answer any asks that make me uncomfortable, whatsoever.
Just a reminder: I do block freely. If you're someone who makes me uncomfortable, or anything like that, you will be blocked.
Once again, please respect my boundaries and follow my rules.
Thank you for coming across my ask blog and checking it out! I'd be extremely happy to meet other nplh fans through this ask blog.
Characters you're able to ask (they have colors assigned to them):
Tom - Blue
The Scarecrow - Pink
The Robot - Red
The Lion - Orange
The Wizard - Green
The Witch - Purple
Those are their assigned colors, and that's it for this post! I hope you like this ask blog and have fun asking the characters questions! I may not be the best at responding on some ends and sometimes I may sound OOC, so if I do I apologize..
Bye for now! Thanks for reading and checking out my ask blog!
